Our Bristol team was pleased to attend another inspiring Building Heroes morning at the Salisbury Training Academy, where we had the opportunity to meet 12 service personnel preparing for life beyond the military.

The group represented an impressive breadth of military experience, with years of service ranging from 7 to 39 years. It was a privilege to hear some of their stories and learn more about the diverse skills and expertise they will bring into civilian industries.

During the session, Ben delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on CRL, offering attendees a valuable overview of the business, our work, and the opportunities available within the construction and specialist services sector. The presentation prompted excellent engagement from the group, with thoughtful questions and discussions throughout.

One particularly encouraging conversation was with a soon-to-be service leaver who has already taken proactive steps towards his future by establishing his own welding company ahead of leaving the military in August. Based in the South West, he also hopes to support CRL on future projects where specialist welding requirements arise. We have already begun the process of onboarding him as an approved subcontractor and look forward to staying in touch.

At CRL, supporting veterans as they transition into civilian careers is something we are proud to champion.
