A303 River Avon BridgeA303 River Avon Bridge Bearing Replacement
20th May 2021CRL recently completed the contract to replace the existing pot bearings on the A303 River Avon Bridge near Amesbury. The works involved initially strengthening the structure to allow the bridge to be lifted. This entailed breaking out sections in 4 corners of the bridge using hydro-demolition, installing additional reinforcing and recasting. The bridge could then be jacked and the old bearings removed and replaced.
